What is the Dow Jones Wealth Management Advisory Council?

What will the Council be doing?

- Fostering debate of industry “best practices”
- Serving neglected markets, including women and minorities
- Attracting the next generation of wealth managers
The council will also work to solicit the industry’s input through a variety of public forums and serve as a resource to the media for questions about wealth management and issue statements on industry concerns.
Who can join?
The council draws its membership from leading practitioners and consulting companies and research organizations, including academia, which follow the industry. Charter members have been nominated by their firm and asked to join by Joseph Lanza, council liaison, and Dow Jones Newswires. The council’s wealth management practitioners are among the top advisors in the industry, all with annual gross production above $1 million. Moving forward, the council will create its rules for membership including council member caps.
What is Dow Jones Newswires' role?
Dow Jones Newswires serves as the host of the Dow Jones Wealth Management Advisory Council. In this capacity, the company provides the council with meeting spaces, office materials and web site, as well as administrative support for council activities.
